I specialize in medication management for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, and PTSD. I am trained in EMDR. I am a big believer in working with your therapist and primary care to coordinate care. I have been a behavioral health nurse for over 20 years. I am an advocate for removing the stigma of mental health.
I have plans to begin groups in the next few months. These will be on a variety of topics and last 6 weeks. Most of them will be closed groups.
My main focus is medication management. I help you decide if medication is the right decision after an intensive intake and discussion of risks, benefits, and side effects. I am happy to refer you to a therapist once I get to know your needs and goals. I can also do therapy and medical management. I offer both in-person and virtual appointments. I spend a lot of time getting to know my clients and really put forth the effort to make sure they get the best treatment.
The first contact is a free 15-minute phone screening to ensure we are a good match and that I am what you are looking for in a therapist. If we decide to proceed, an intake appointment will follow. After the first session, you will leave with a treatment plan. This usually consists of medication and therapy. I work with all ages. I do play therapy and evaluations for children and adolescents. I help parents to navigate the school system to get the resources their children need.
